Over the past year, I studied rabbits,
until they became so accustomed to my presence
that they ate greens from my hand.
I named each one after the prophets
and other great characters of the bible.
Last Tuesday, a hawk carried Yahweh off
to feed its ravenous fledglings at its nest.
